Looking for a clinical research project with a surgeon at my school for this summer and maybe to continue into MS2....

How did people go about joining a project or even finding out whats out there?

You have options. I used number 1.

1) Email the PD or chair of the specialty you are interested in. They will be able to tell you who is doing research.
2) Browse the department website to find out who does a lot of research and email one of those people
3) Ask your upperclassmen, they have done this before
