How do you guys prevent burnout?

I have shingles too. However, I never experience stress so that's not a trigger. Every outbreak I've had has been the result of high dose prednisone.

I was treated with the same. Interesting.
Mine only lasted a month or so.

I've heard of prednisone being prescribed for the pain, but it seems counterintuitive to me. But what do I know. I just keep a bunch of acyclovir on hand. That way, as soon as I notice a symptom I can nip it in the bud.
