During residency, I had subscribed to some website that used to send in recent articles related to an area of interest but I forgot which website.

Been out of residency for a few years now and I was wondering how people are keeping themselves updated with the recent publications.
It would be nice to have some kind of app to get the updates and then save the interesting ones.

What is everyone using?

QxMD Medical Apps
I just read what interests me these days. The above app has a fairly decent list of abstracts. They send an email a couple times a month I believe. If the abstract manages to continue my interest then I read the study.

Thanks.... This what I was looking for

Thanks for the tip. I need something like this.

When I’m in call and residents are rotting away in the room, I’ll go to journal websites and read titles until interest is perked. It’s not efficient but you can find great stuff that would otherwise be missed with a service.

I use the app "Browzine" which can also be used on the browser. Add your favorite journals (have Anesthesiology, A&A, and some pain journals).

If an article title is mildly interesting I'll look through the abstract, and rarely the article itself. This takes maybe a few minutes per journal issue.

You can also subscribe to email updates from the major journals (both general medical like JAMA and NEJM and anesthesiology specific like Anesthesiology and Anesthesia & Analgesia). You'll get email updates with the latest articles. A number of these journals even have podcasts that focus on the highlights.
