So I've finally got a "home" after 7 months of floating (yay!) but the store they gave me is a MESS and extremely disorganized (to say the least..) I don't know how my partner will feel about me coming in revamping the place... But for safety's sake and peace of mind some things needs to be done 🙁

What are some "things" that you guys have enlisted to help organize and make your days run smoother? i.e- calling MD bin, colored coded priority bins, "reminders" etc.. Thanks for any input!

Havent worked retail and i hate organizing, but -- I can tell you .. colored bins, colored stickers (like little round ones) and colored post it notes. They really helped us when he had to revamp ours.

Laminated workflow sheets. Several whiteboards with markers.

These are the things you MUST have. Im sure other people will have ideas, too.

May want to make some checklists for day to day tasks

Is the drug stock at least organized? My pharmacy is a mess that way, but since I'm not in charge, I can't get it to stick. I bring it up and try to tell how it would help with workflow/efficiency/inventory (which is a huge problem at our store), but everytime go back (I can only work once/week) it's a mess again. Put backs into the Scriptpro are just ridiculous.

Make a plan, review it with your partner and get him on board. Get the lead tech on board. With those two supporting you inform everyone of the changes and the advantages of the changes. Then GO....

There will inevitably one a-hole who will need to be fired and then everyone else will fall into line.

If your partner won't support you, you have zero chance of making it stick.
