Hey all.

First off, I want to say good luck to anyone who still has finals coming up. Stressful week for all.

I only had one science course this semester, but with many more hitting my courseload next semester, I need some help. When I was younger, flash cards worked awesome. But now, they seem to only work as a way to test how much I know of the material. I don't glean anything from them.

Last year during my first year of college, I didn't take any classes that really required studying, except for Russian, and I got plenty of use from flash cards when studying vocabulary. But I seem to have a hard time really understanding the concepts of the science courses, while also studying to pass the tests.

So, how do you guys study? What methods do you use to understand concepts? Highlighting? Writing notes over again? I'm willing just to try whatever and see what works, as I'm drawing a blank on what else could help me.

Thanks in advance!

I rip out the pages of study from my notebook or textbook, brew it into a stew, add some calculators (graphing works best), then heat it up for 3 hours at a constant 180 degrees.
Enjoy.
