I went to an Ameican medical school, and I'm currently a PGY2 in an American psychiatry residency programme. Does anyone know what I would have to do to become a psychiatrist in New Zealand after I graduate? Do I need to re-do residency? What agency/people do I ask about this? Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to talk to the Medical Council of New Zealand about gaining registration in the vocational scope of practice of psychiatry

In New Zealand you are required to do two House Surgeon years ("Intern" in US) after you graduate medical school and then five years post-graduate vocational training in Psychiatry to become a Consultant Psychiatrist.
