How does being a re-applicant affect consideration? To that school or in general

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What do you mean by "stupid but long-term harmless mistakes"?

Yep. Brilliant, but I think I can fix it pretty easily by just revising ps... next year

The school you applied to previously will have your app, so you'll be a reappicant at their school. Other schools have not seen your app and you will not be a reapplicant there; however, some ask on secondaries if you are a reapplicant. They will ask what you have done to improve your app. Usually not a terrible thing since you will have plenty of schools to apply to a first time instead of a reapplicant at 20+ schools

Would they actually pull the application from the last year?

They would probably look at it and see what you improved on, yes (but only the one school you applied to will have your old application on file)

edit: Not saying this is a negative thing... if you add some new things it will look good and may be positive.. obviously there isnt anything you can do to improve academically, but some new ECs/continued would help

I've been worried about the whole can't improve academically- normally that is first advice people are given.

Just embrace the gap year and add some unique activities you are interested in... you'll have plenty of options if you apply broadly next cycle

Ok so as long as I haven't applied at that specific school before... Im fine?

Yeah I'm not too worried. As long as they don't see primary
