How does it feel? To get accepted into medical school?
Then, how does it feel after 1 semester of med school?
Did everything you did feel that it has paid off?

Just for those of us who have not made it yet, or who are still in the process of applying/taking the MCAT.

Getting accepted to med school is awesome.

Finishing first semester is ok. You're excited about your stethoscope and happy to be done smelling like cadaver.

Finishing first year of med school makes you long for undergrad.

haha, jk. In all seriousness, I like what I'm doing, but it IS a lot of work. All in all, I feel it's worth it so far though. (To my seniors reading this, I realize I am just a second year).

by the end of your 4th year, you will be a complete and total cynic, lol. still whether it feels worth it or not is up to the person.

Jolie is right...

They happiest you'll be is the period between acceptance and your first day of school. From then on it's a pretty drastic drop off of that 'wanting to be a doctor' excitement you once felt.

I'm still reveling waking up and saying to myself: "omgggggggggggggggggggggg I'm going to be a doctor!"
