i know this is a commonly posted about subject but i just like feedback and hopefully good news. Ive been at my CC for 2 years now just kinda going through the motions and not really having motivation and not knowing what i want to do. I now know i want to go Pre med or dent (still not positive) but my dilemma is how poorly I've done my first two years at my CC. I've taken my basic reading hisory etc.. but I've taken some sciences too but all over the place. I took bio for non science majors then Gen chem then chem for nursing majors. My gpa is not so swell and i made a D in gen chem which i now know would've been better to have actually attended class more. Anyway, Im transferring to a uni this fall and am enrolled in gen chem and cell and mollecular amongst other classes. If i apply myself like i know i can and excel from here on out at the university, do i have a chance to get into professional schools or is it too late for me?
thanks. gpa is 2.6 btw

If you're willing to turn it around, you can do it. This is an internal decision you must make. There are ways you can make yourself standout; a good MCAT score, experiences showing dedication to medicine and serving, altruistic activities, etc. It's not all going to happen at once. You have to commit to being an exceptional student with a goal that you will not give up on.

Concur. keep in mind that words are easy and doing is hard. Ace everything from now on.
Retake all F/D/C science coursework as well.

I'd give yourself a semester to turn it around. If after the first semester, you've maintained a 3.7+ (possibly 3.5+ depending on how many credits) then stick it out one more semester and see where it leads. If, however, you receive a 3.4 or below, you need to be honest with yourself and look for other options. I find that too few people look at their dreams realistically, which is not always a bad thing; however, in the case of trying to get into medical school, it most certainly is.

Good luck, OP.
