How does the amca calculate your gpa?

Hey every one. I am senior at CUNY (hunter). I am trying to calculate my AMCAS GPA. My college has alpha with +/- system. I am confused about the semester hour column. What does this refer to? The # of hr the course meets or the credits, because in my college some courses the # cr’s and hr’s differ?
