Hi all,

As a Canadian applicant with a below-average cGPA (3.56) and solid MCAT (34Q, 11/12/11), I know the best thing I can do for myself is to apply early. I wanted to get it in this week, but I'd still like to get some more feedback for my PS and I know it needs to be strong. How early is early? Would submitting on June 16 be too late and start to work against me, or am I just panicking about this?

Thanks,
tl91

Not too late. Don't drag it into July.

Keep in mind that "early" vs "late" is more dependent on when you are complete at schools. Of course, submitting your primary earlier allows you to get secondaries earlier and therefore be complete earlier, but I think what people forget sometimes is that once you get through the verification process, it doesn't matter anymore whether you submitted on June 3 or June 16 or June 28. What matters is when your secondary and LORs are in. If you are complete by August, you are a very early applicant.

Make sure your PS is as good as it can be. It's not worth applying slightly earlier with an application that is not as strong as it could be.

When's the latest you can apply and still be verified by the 27th?
