I have my dat in a week and ive been reading the cliffs section of photosynthesis. How extensively does the dat test u on photosynthesis? Is it necessary to memorize what C4 and CAM photosynthesis does? Thanks

I say know what's in Cliff's (and Barron's AP if you have it). There's always the potential the test could get more detailed, but I predict you'd see little return on the time you'd have to invest to learn more in-depth stuff.

they ask general questions for the most part nothing too specific ( ive never seen or heard of anyone getting a question on c4 and CAM photosynthesis) hence i avoided studying that part of the topic

Based off my experience I would say study the main products and reactants in photosynthesis and understand the conditions needed for it to work.

For C4 and CAM I didn't bother learning everything, and all I bothered with was just the basic idea of what types of plants would use those processes and why.

I didn't have CAM or C4 question, but I had pretty specific question from photosynthesis (i.e. number of molecules expected or enzyme name). I recommend reviewing it at the last minute (short term memory).

I had 3 questions on it.

1. Products of the light reactions of photosynthesis.
2. Question regarding the dark reactions.
3. General easy question. Was talking about the electrochemical gradient compared to mitochondrion.

Sorry for any typos. On my phone.

No they aren't going to ask specific questions like in Biochem. Very basic question like, what does photosynthesis produce? When dark cycle occur?

The problem here is, if you don't know the answer you will likely get it wrong. I always hated how broad the bio section was.
