How far in advance to Study?????

In your opinion, how early is too early? When to start? One month, two months before test day? Hypothetical 8 hour study days. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Depends on your curriculum. I think 6-8 weeks would be ideal for me, but I know many who have studied for much shorter periods of time and done extremely well. If you're a first year, the best way to study for the boards is to really hone in on the material during 2nd year.

Theoretically you should be studying the entire first two years with the boards in mind. Personally, I think more than 5-6 weeks of straight boards studying is overkill but it also depends on where you are at and how you feel about your knowledge base. My school only gave us 4-5 weeks to study and I found it more than sufficient. If I'd studied much more I'd have gone crazy.
