How good is the epidemiology field in job prospects?

Hi All
Will you please share your thoughts on how does epidemiology field compare with others in number of job openings for recent MPH graduates and the mean salaries offered?

jobs can be found, esp. if you are good at marketing your skills. it is a growing field.
salaries range from 30k to 60k, but mostly around 40-50k. check out some public health schools' websites- they give stats on recent grads. also, do a job search on yahoo, monster, etc. to give you a better idea of salries (although they pay is not always listed). the avg (median?) salary of epidemiologists is about 65k (from BLS) but keep in mind this includes folks who have been epidemiologists for 20 years, PhD's, etc.
