Hey guys,

I'm a pre-med and I was just wondering, I know a few people that have gotten internship offers at Genentech. How hard exactly is it to get? Also.. do med schools even care about biotech internships?

Anyone who can share some insight, I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

I know a friend of mine applied. He didn't get it, so I am assuming its difficult. Good luck though!

i didn't apply. i'm only a freshmen this year so i don't think my chances are good. but i'll try next year.

but anyways.. does it look good for med school to intern at genetech?

It certainly wouldn't hurt, but to what extent it benefits is unknown to me.

dont know how helpful it is. but i know that amgen internships are competitive and not easy to get, so i'd assume the same with genetech.

apparently in the top 50 to work for in the us on cnn's list.

says about 11,000 jobs. basically, there's probably only a handful out of those that allow for internship, so yeah, you're looking at a difficulty.
