How heavily do schools look at EC/Work experience/honors?

After finishing the Professional Experience part of AADSAS, I'm starting to freak out. I have no awards...I was going to list a Certificate of Completion I received after attending a conference but I feel like this is trying too hard...any thoughts? Right now, I have the conference listed under Academic Enrichment.

Also, I don't have anywhere near the limit of EC/Dentistry experience. I've only shadowed 2 general dentists. Although my shadowing hours add up to 150, I feel that others have way more.

For the community service/volunteer, I only have 3! 🙁 Man, what happened to me in college? I have some small one-day things I did but I really feel ridiculous writing them down because for the total hours, I would have to put something like 6.

So basically, how much is this going to affect my application? I have a low GPA but high DAT, and I'm pretty sure my LOR are going to be pretty good. I plan to submit within the next week so I can be early. I guess I'm looking for honesty and comfort at the same time and I really hope that this thread helps others too who are in my situation.

relax man... I didn't have any awards and If I did, I didn't remember them when I filled AADSAS.

If I remember correctly, I think u did great on the DAT (right?). Im pretty sure that 22 is more impressive than any award you would have received in undergrad

I would not worry about it too much now but it may be of interest for you to begin doing volunteering activities. This way, if you land yourself an interview and are asked to talk about it, you can have something to say. I think the importance of this varies from school to school but just to be on the safe side, begin engaging yourself in these activities.
