How important is honors in rotations?

Hi, Im currently a 3rd year DO student and interested in matching into IM followed by fellowship in cardiology. My step 1 score is 243. However I found out this year that getting honors on rotation at my school is next to impossible and I didn't get honors in my IM rotation.

Im interested in mid-tier university programs for IM, being a DO student and without honors, how hard is it to match into these programs? Thanks for the answers!

No one knows for sure but make it happen. Might help if bench is > step score
