How important is leadership?

Just had a revelation that I don't have any "leadership" type things to put on my resume. How important is it to have stuff like that when looking for your first job? All the clubs have already picked new officers for next year, I'm not into religion, and no volunteer stuff. The truth is, even if I did any of those things, it would mostly be for resume building...I don't see how pretending I want to be a leader in some organization will make me a better doctor. Any thoughts?
