Networking for getting into med school? Not much. I know a dean at a med school and a few family friends on admissions committees, rejected from all of their schools.

Networking to build your resume? Sure that helps a lot. From shadowing to research to volunteer opportunities the better you network, the more opportunities you will have to better your resume.

Networking to get a job? This is a guess here but I'm betting it helps a lot.
