I am taking these courses this term.

intro to biochem
organic chem II
physical chem
food science.

I wanna to add physic II to my timetable, but I am afraid that I might overload myself. Organic chem II and biochem are considred two tough courses in my school. I might not get a really high mark in physic II if I choose to take it since my timetable is pretty tough atm.

How much does the adcom weight on the pre-req GPA. I got C+ in lit and C+ in organic I. Can I still afford to do horrible in phyisc II ? any comments?

I would think it is fairly important due to the fact that everyone applying had taken the courses and it is a good measuring stick. Plus it might be useful in comparing success on the DAT with these courses. My personal view is that these grades are the most important.

You can't afford to do horrible in any classes, as a general rule.

In regards to Physics, you have the luxury of taking those courses AFTER you've already been accepted, so don't stress about them now. I'd make Physics II the last science course you take before graduation.

I've always been left wondering why people worry about the physics series before applying to dental school. I've put mine off until the summer, gonna knock both out with the labs. If people just did this like me, like would be a whole lot simpler. just an idea...
