How important is the timing of interviews?

I scheduled my first dental school interview for Nov 1st, even though there were two September slots open. The problem is I'll be out of town for all of September. The woman on the phone said that timing of the interview (as long as it's before December 1st) doesn't matter, and all interviewees are on equal footing. Can anyone speak to this?

Usually the committees will meet towards the end of November to evaluate all pre-December interviewees for the December notification date.

Agreed with the two posters above, all pre-dec interviewees have the same chance, so to speak.
