I interviewed at Cleveland Clinic at Florida. I thought it was a very weak program. The main problem I think is that the hospital is only ~150 beds and I felt not enough pathology.

Neuro pathology rotations are done in CLeveland Clinic Foundation... So u do get some away rotations at the main institute. Also i think pediatric neuro is done at U Miami. The program is weak...
the interview day was very disorganised, thats probably the coordinator's fault. (actually last year a friend got an invitation and when he reached the clinic, the coordinator told him that it was an accident and that they can't interview him !) Some of the residents did'nt seem that interested in working and they just wanted to go home. But some residents were super cool as well.
The professors and attendings were hardly bothered abt the interview process...
But its a great looking clinic... after being on the interview track, i have realised how big a priority 'Starbucks' is to the candidates as well as the residents. (I've heard candidates actually ask if there is a starbucks and even residents mention starbucks as plus point of in their program)
So its has Starbucks, it has a meal service where u get served in ur call room (there is a menu card inside ur room... i did'nt see the xbox, which some places have like Barrows).... lovely black and white photographs along the hallways.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but does anyone have any information about how this program is now. I am interviewing here soon and would like to know how good or bad it is.

Small program, 2 residents per year. Residents seem to be successful in doing clinical research and getting good fellowships. They attribute their success to the name. Sounds like 2nd year is really busy since there are only 2 residents while 3rd and 4th year residents have a lot more time to read and do research etc. Pathology is a 2 month rotation done in Cleveland Clinic Ohio. Neuro Peds is at childrens hospital in Miami. They offer a variety of electives for 4th year. Hospital is very nice. Patients are mostly insured. Mix of old patients (its south florida) and international patients from cruises etc.

The department is small but the faculty are very enthusiastic and it seems like they are very interested in the success of their residents. They have been recruiting faculty in various specialties recently (MS, dementia). They recently got an interventional neuroradiologist with the aim of improving their stroke program. But they lack a neurocritical care specialist or neuro ICU, which prevents them from being a comprehensive stroke center. They have fellowships in movement disorders and EMG. They also lack a neuro-oncologist. A new building for the neurology department (and another department) is being constructed across the street.
