for dental schools?

Different schools have different systems and the plus and minus grades... Does anybody know how grades are calculated for dental schools?

^Hmmm... my school has +/- es so how would AADSAS calculate my GPA?

^I see I see. Thanks. So in theory, an A- (3.75 in my school) for a class I took would be calculated as an A (4.0)?

Oh one more thing, if you repeat a class e.g. take a class and get a D+ and retake and get a B+, how would this be calculated? The D+ doesn't get replaced by the B+ does it...?

i think aadsas calculates in both grades

^Oh I see... so it's as if you've taken a course and gotten a D+, and taken another course and gotten a B+... I see I see.

For the GPA with +/- no.
For the GPA without +/- yes.

No replacement. Both will be calculated into your GPA.

Which GPA, with +/- or without, do dental schools place more emphasis on?

That probably varies by school.

I will say that from my 6 years of courses (undergrad & grad), my GPA with and GPA without only differ by 0.01. So with all other factors combined, it shouldn't make much difference at all.
