How late can you apply and get in

Hello all.. i want to apply to do school for the 2008 cycle. but i want to retake classes after i graduate in the spring and fall of 07 so i can replace it on my application. Since most DO schools have late application deadlines, is it stilll posible for me to apply at the end of december and still possibly get an interview..? I am also going to be working on an mph in the process.

Obviously the earlier you apply the better, but having said that...

Yes, you can apply in late december 07 and still get an interview for fall 08 admission. Case in point, I just applied COMP in late march and have an interview on 5/1. In comparison to me, you'd be applying hella early, don't worry about it and good luck with everything.

For this application cycle, I completed my AACOM in early Feb. and submitted to schools with March and April deadlines. I recieved interviews at COMP and TUCOM-NV and will be attending TUCOM-NV. So yes, it is possible to get in with late applications...but I am sure the earlier you get your app in, the better. Good luck.

I have a number of classmates that did not apply until January or February.

However, there is absolutely no reason to wait to submit your application. Apply early and update the application with your new grades.

You never know---you may be more successful than you think!
