The most recent thread I found on this was from 2001. So I thought it was safe to ask.
I know each school is probably different, but I'm just curious about the time it typically takes to receive an II once your app is complete for a school. do some people get II's within days?
For most of my schools, my secondaries and everything else are done, but because of my "future test date," the bulk of my apps wont be considered actually complete until I get my score in late august. but when that day comes and my apps are finally complete, I just want to have a better idea of what to expect. Obviously if I get rejected right away, then that's that. (do a lot of schools do that, btw?)
BUT if I receive neither a rejection nor an II right after completion (let's say within a week), when would be the best time to:
1. assume that they have in fact reviewed your app but just havent decided yet if they want to interview you. and
2. send an update letter or something of that nature to help "convince them" to invite you. One month with no II? two?
(obviously i'm going to update schools as new experiences happen, but on things like daily volunteering, I plan to compile a certain amount of hours before sending an update, so there will be leeway to sort of "time" the sending)
Thanks!
