So I sent out all my letters of recommendation today to AMCAS. I'm assuming it'll take about a week for the mail to get there. How long does it usually take for them to upload it into my application? I know AMCAS is pretty backed up in terms of handling mail so what's a reasonable estimate until they'll show up in my file and I can assign them to schools? I'm kinda worried because some of my secondaries have a 4 week deadline and I'm not sure if the letters will arrive in time...

I had letters sent electronically as late as July 4 and they were updated by AMCAS within minutes. One person sent it via snail mail and it was uploaded by AMCAS in a few days.

I think they upload the same day, so it just depends on how long it takes for the mail to get there. The letters will definitely arrive within 4 weeks though. Also, those "deadlines" are for submission of your secondary, not completion (secondary+LORs) of your application file.
