How long does it take AMCAS to process recommendations??

I sent my recommendations out exactly a week ago, but the AMCAS status page is saying that they haven't received my letters yet.
I was wondering if this was an error on part of my University, or if AMCAS just takes a while to process them.

I ask because I know the process is electronic; I would think it to be fast.

Just so we're clear, your school is using virtual evals?

Maybe the person in the office transmitted them wrong? Or had the wrong letter ID or something? They should show up really fast. Go talk to your premed office and find out what the deal is.

When sent properly via electronic methods, AMCAS should update it within a day
