Hi, I'm new to this pre-dental thing and was curious to know how long it takes to specialize after you graduate from dental school. Also, do you get paid while you're specializing or just continue adding to the enormous debt that you accumulated from dental school? Thanks in advance!

It depends on the program... For example, if you want to become an oral surgeon you'd have to put in 6 more years after graduation, whereas endo takes only two years, etc.

Most of these programs do have stipends so you should be earning some money while enrolled in those programs.

Just a 1-year GP residency is good enough for me. :D
