I'm considering adding an additional year to my post bacc which would make it 4 years long. This way I could raise my sGPA from 3.54 to 3.61 and my post bacc GPA from 3.72 to 3.8 of all science courses. I'm currently 24 and if I did this I would hopefully start med school at age 28 which is a little discouraging because I want to do a general surgery residency. Thoughts? Is this insane? I should also mention that I really want to go to an MD school and only have 1 state school

Why are you doing a postbacc? Both your GPAs are decent enough, especially if you have an upward trend.

Left UG with sgpa of 2.7, got a 2.7 first sem of post bacc above 3.65 every semester since
Ok that's not what I was reading it as.
You know you can retake your C/D/F coursework and go DO.
It's still possible to match into gen surg with a DO. And if you do get in you likely will change your mind before match

You also have to consider the financials. Four years of post-bac on top of four years of med school? If you're not getting significant financial help from loved ones that type of debt can cripple you for the rest of your life.
