I always fly in the day/night before, and leave the day/night after. It's worth it for me to see not only the campus, but the surrounding city, as well. Also, it's always a hassle/time crunch having to check out, bring your luggage to the school, ask to store it some place, and then head to the airport ASAP after the interview. I'd just rather spend the extra night. Almost everybody at my interviews, however, flew out the night of the interview.

Trying not to miss too much work & class, so I usually leave the night of the interview. It usually means I get home quite late, grumpy and tired but I saved myself a night on the hotel, which in some cases can be a significant amount of money.

It gets way too expensive to stay the extra night 🙁

I try to keep my options open. Never know who you may meet (another interviewee, dental student) if you know what I mean 😀

All weekend, Im in New Orleans and having the time of my life.
You need to get to know the area where you hope to one day live.

I had a 10 day trip that consisted of 4 dental school interviews.
