I'm sure many others are in this situation as well so I'm wondering if people who have gone through the process (or have a better understanding than me) will be able to shine some light on the matter.

I've been complete at about 10 schools for almost 7 weeks. However, I have yet to hear anything back from them (no status change or snail mail). How long is it appropriate to wait before assuming that I've simply been reviewed and rejected, but the schools haven't gone around to notifying me yet? I don't imagine getting an interview 2 or 3 or 4 months down the road if my application has already been completed for so long. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Since the last realistic interviews are probably in April or so, I figure... maybe six months?

same. i've been complete everywhere since early september, and have only heard from 4 schools. so i have 8 that haven't said anything. what's the protocol there? i don't want the be obnoxious, but i paid them a lot of money! anyway, i feel your pain.

oh man...6 months? Ok, I'm going to stop checking status and all that stuff; maybe i'll give the adcoms a call if I don't hear anything by december. I do hear that they're swarmed with things right now...on the bright side, it's not over till I get that rejection letter...

Letters of interest/update to schools you're really interested in might not be a bad idea.
