I believe the process is as follows:
- dean rubber-stamps your application to the ADA...then you get something that enables you to get scheduled at prometric sites...but i'm not sure of the order, nor of how long it takes.

Can someone give me an impression of how long this takes? IE how long does it take to START the 'approved to take' process and END with a scheduled DATE? is it 1 week? 3 weeks? worse?

Thanks in advance. want to be ready when it comes time.

Took about 3 weeks. You'll get a letter from the ADA stating that you can log onto the Prometric site with your "eligiblity number", which is just your SSN. You can go ahead and try to get on to the site if its been a few weeks and you're just waiting on the letter.

Hi,
I had a doubt. I dont have SSN still. I sent my transcripts to ADA. Will i have to have an ssn for taking up my exam?

I am almost positive the number they sent to me was my own SSN- however, in your case they may realize you do not have a SSN and give you something else. I would make sure of everything though because prometric is not messing around when it comes to ids, SSN, fingerprints etc...
