How long to wait to start studying again for a retake?

Unfortunately I have to retake the DAT. How long do you give yourself a break before hitting the books again ?

you have to write in 3 months right?
if so i would take first month off, go easy 2nd month and study hard in the 3rd month

So I took the DAT on May 21, and I just started studying again July 12ish, hoping to take it August 21. I haven't registered yet, but I found that I needed a lot of time time to get over my disappointment (lol like a relationship breakup or something) and get motivated again. Also, I wanted time to get in my application early and do other things, like actually enjoy my summer. I took a diagnostic test and last week and found I retained a lot of the information and did a lot better than when I took that diagnostic when I was studying for my first DAT. So I'm just going to study hard for this last month! Good luck!
