Hey everyone:

I'm in the process and everything is going great. Got some interviews, a few acceptances, but...

Last semester (Fall 2005) I decided that it would be ok to make lots of B's. I had a 4.0, and last semester i managed a whopping 3.18. That brings my overall to a 3.75. Ouch?

Sooo, I was wondering if the med schools that accepted me will see this and rescind my acceptances. I promise to pull that up this semester.

Bottom line: For senior grades how low do they need to be for a med school to rescind an acceptance.

Thanks guys. =)

Geez, relax....

You have nothing to worry about unless you got below a C in any class, and even then they probably wouldn't care too much unless it was a pre-req.

Plus how did a 3.18 lower your average by so much? If you had a 4.0 and were taking about the same number of classes per semester, that should put you at about 3.88.

2.5 is too low. Maybe 3.0 is too low.

That, combined with the fact that this is this person's first post, sounds awfully suspicious.

To the OP

you are screwed

Making a D or an F in a prerequisite is likely the only way you can lose an acceptance.

As far as an overall GPA, I doubt they can do anything unless it drops below 3.0 (since some schools have this as a minimum GPA for acceptance.)

looks like you blew your chances to med school. sucker.

jk 🙂

I had less than a 3.18 when I applied to medical school, a 3.75 causing your acceptances to be withdrawn, hillarious! Don't wory once you start med school nobody will care about your grades from undergrad.
