for any of your clinical or non clinical volunteering how many days a week and hours a week you volunteer? I typically do once a week 4 hours a day.

During UG my clinical volunteering was 2-3 days a week and about 10hrs a week maybe a bit less.
Non clinical was a bit odd and it varied greatly with the need. Some months I got an hour or two then I'd have a week with 10-20 hours

this is typical for premeds at my school, most people do one ~4 hour shift in a hospital per week, but they do that for a couple years.
I see people who rack up like 200-400 hours of volunteer work and there is no way they could have gotten that much by going once a week for 4 hours so lately been feeling like what Inam doing is not enough and need to somehow increase hours a week I am volunteering

1 year = 52 weeks
1 week = 4 hours of volunteering

52*4*2 = 416 hours of volunteering over span of 2 years

Ya but Most people volunteer at different places in summer as compared to the places they volunteer at during school year. School year is basically 15 week fall 15 week Spring summer starts May and goes to end of August.

Quality over quantity my friend. As long as you do the activity consistently over a long time and that you try to get something meaningful from what you do, dont worry about it!

Sure...and their hours volunteering at different places still count. Regardless of where or when, if you're consistently doing ~4/week you'll have a couple hundred hours easily. Even if you only did 30 weeks per year, after two years you have 30*4*2 = 240 which should be plenty to speak about in interviews and demonstrate some altruism and familiarity with clinical setting

When I used to volunteer in the summer before entering college, I volunteered 3 days a week for 4 hours. I start soon again, so it may be 2x a week for 3 hours or so

I think it is important to note that the emphasis should be on the quality of experience not the quantity. I actually left my hospital volunteer job (250+ hours) to work with more impactful organizations who I think have an overall better vision and greater opportunity. I don't volunteer even once a month at times, but I have been with 4 organizations for about three years now, intermittently. I write down my experiences to. One as a reminder and two so I can talk about them more intelligently during my interviews. Sorry if this reads weird. I've been studying all day. My brain ain't one hundo percent.
