How many days do schools give you to decide whether to accept or not? and do most schools require deposits?

I think it's 30-45 days depending on the schools. All schools with the exception of Harvard require a deposit to reserve your seat.

30 days notice for acceptances that go out in december
15 days notice for acceptances that are given out post dec
and after april as little as a week.
