How many interviews are you going on?

I guess I feel like 8 is hopefully enough (scheduled 10 and cancelled 2 because I am just way too tired to do anymore ... plus, I'm stuck in Virginia in the ice after going on an interview this weekend).

On the interview trail I have talked to people going on 20 and 25 anesthesia interviews ... I am a little baffled as to why but, maybe I am just on the low end. I know it's a competitive year but, it seems like if you get an interview, the program is serious about you and you have a decent shot at matching there (granted you like it). So far I've really liked six programs (and loved two).

So, how many interviews did you go on this year? How many did you fall in love with and how many are you ranking?

Did 7, wish I had 10, but not fretting about it. Could see myself at 6 of them, ranking all 7 because my stats don't give me the luxury.

I am going on 13 total plus 2 prelims. If I weren't a lowly DO student then I'd feel much more comfortable with 10 or so. 2 places I absolutely hated and would rather scramble than go there. I feel like I screwed the pooch on one interview where they asked me all sorts of weird questions and I was too tired to think of decent answers. So I'll probably be ranking 10 or 11.

i also ranked seven. would be okay with the top 5, feel so-so about 6, and would really rather not go to 7 but would rather go there than scramble. also did seven prelim/TY interviews since the four of the seven programs interviewed at only offer advanced positions.

I will be ranking 8.

I absolutely loved 3 of the programs. Having the hardest time ranking them.

3 of the remaining programs I liked a lot.

And 2 I wouldn't mind going to if I had to.

Hopefully things turn out well for everyone...i'm ready to get this process over with!! 😱

scheduled 18, went on 15, ranking 13. Would love to be at any of my top 3, but will still be happy at any of my top 8.

I went on 13, cancelled about 6 or 7. I absolutely loved 2, really, really liked 2, and would be fine going to 5 or 6 others.

What kind of sucks is that I absolutely loved two programs as well, but I wont rank them 1 and 2 but more like 4 and 5 since I dont want to move.
