This number is *highly* variable with multiple factors coming into play. Maybe list some schools that you're very interested in and have people chime in?

These are the factors to consider: How big is the projected incoming class size of the school? When did the school start the interviews? How many sessions have they already had? What's the size of each interview group?

I know that some have zero so far. There's no need to be worried yet.

I was complete in July/Aug (don't remember exactly) and was getting DO interviews through December. I ended up getting interviews at every school I was complete for, with zero coming in September. Don't get caught up in how many people you think are accepted, it matters how well you do only. Remember, the DO cycle is a little latter and longer than the MD side too.

Based on the school specific threads, it seems to me that Nova has interviewed 5-6 groups already. WesternU, on the other hand, 2-3 groups have been interviewed. Each group consists of 20-25 students. Depending on the school, there are 50-150 students have been interviewed up to this point. There are other schools such as WVSOM that hasn't interviewed people yet and some such as LECOM that has been accepting or rejecting interviewees.

It is highly variable, but based on my analysis, less than one third of projected interviews has been done so far.

WVSOM is up and running interviewing folks, by my estimate, at least 3 or 4 groups of 8-10 have been interviewed.

Western's interview groups are 40-55 people large. They said the groups are so big because they only interview two times a month.

At Rowan SOM (UMDNJ SOM), we have seen groups of 6-8 applicants come in and sit in our lectures at least twice a week since mid August. If I had to guess I would say 40ish

I've been complete at a lot of schools with a 29 and 3.6-3.7 and I'm scared I'm not going to hear back from any..

The average mcat of the schools where I applied is like 27-29 so I'm worried that all of the people they've already interviewed are going to be on the low-average side and that they're only going to be concerned with 30+ applicants if half of applicants have already been interviewed :scared:

Patience is key in this process. Give A couple months after completion at schools before you start worrying. Your stats are decent but not amazing so they'll get to you soon enough, keep your chin up.

My school has not yet started interviewing. Try to relax. It's not late yet.

When were you complete?

Theyll get to you I'm sure. Its still only september.

Complete like 3-4 weeks ago. I guess it might have taken them a while to get my DO letter... I applied to most of the schools friendly to CA residents. I'm thinking about adding a couple more. Are CCOM, DMU or LMU worth applying to from CA?

With your numbers I would say yes.

Averages won't tell you much. Some schools have not started interviewing yet and may not start for another month. Others have been interviewing for over a month now. Also depends on factors like class size, interview group size, time period they perform interviews, interview style, etc.

I would have to disagree with twinsfan. Your stats are really good. Mine are considerably lower and have 1 acceptance and had 3 interviews so far. You'll get one! I wouldn't worry too much unless you have been complete since day 1. Maybe go visit some schools you are interested in. I have noticed they like when you show interest... Just my 2 cents 🙂 good luck!!!
