How many interviews do you expect to get? and how many schools did you apply to in total?

I've gotten seven so far, and completed 28 secondaries. I'm hoping for a few more UCs. I will put my guess/wish at 10 total.

I submitted 9 secondaries and I have 4 interviews so far. I'm hoping for 6 or 7 (okay, well I'm HOPING for 9, but I'm expecting around 6 or 7 😛).

Dont feel bad I have 2 out of 17 and I know how you keep saying you called schools and it looks like you have been passed up... well me too. I have interviews at SUNY-Buffalo and NYMC (I would be happy going anywhere except the Carribean, my girlfriends sister went to Ross - absolutely miserable third world country almost). Looks like I have been passed over at Drexel (never got a mystetrious email and been complete there a lot longer than most getting invites), Rochester (seem to invite real fast after being complete, been complete since July so thats not good), GW (really annoys me because I was on hold last year)... and others. Oh well hopefully Buffalo goes well this coming week and that UNC hasnt actually disappeared from Chapel Hill without anyone knowing it.

I think it really depends on which schools you applied to. Some schools haven't started granting interviews, or have just started in the past week or so. So if you applied to a lot of those schools, of course you don't have many interviews! Also, it's possible your LORs were submitted later, just because of your committee or whatever. Congrats on your one though 👍

at least one- my state school automatically interviews in state residents. As to the rest, I'll see after I get my MCAT scores...

I think i would've had much better chance if i weren't a CA resident.

2 interviews out of 32 schools!!!!! But i have hope that the other schools will come around to me in a month or two.

Hey i just looked at your md app profile. Someone i work with told me he graduated with an engineering degree and applied to med schools. When he was interviewing, some schools bombarded him with questions about engineering, like "how do you think engineering will help you in the career of medicine?" or "Why have you chosen medicine and not engineering?"

Some interviewers would think engineering is like a step up and they'd wonder why wouldn't you do that instead? My co-worker went to UCSD med. he got this question asked i think by northwestern. (10 years ago)
