How many letters to send?

Some help please:

I have 4 LOR's (2 are SLOR's). The two typical LOR's are from Int med course director and the other from Fam Med doc. I have been told that both are great......but who knows.

Since I have to send the to SLORs (from my two ER rotations thus far), should I also send BOTH of the others to all of my programs? I don't see why it would hurt to have 4 letters at each place, but wanted some counsel before I bit the bullet and sent this thing in.

I can't think of a reason not to send the other two as long as you're pretty confident that they're very favorable. The more people that think you're awesome, the better. 🙂

Agreed. Send it. YOu can send a max of 4, and as long as you think the two non EM LOR aren't flaming you, go for it bro. Send in your app ASAP!

i have a ?? regarding the SLOR form itself.

First, are the doctors supposed to write a separate LOR in addition to the SLOR? Or do they just write a paragraph at the end?

Second, I was wondering what exactly the question at the end regarding how competitive the applicant will be on their match list? How much weight does very competitive carry?
