HOW many Liters in a gallon??

I googled it but got a whole bunch of different values. Then I found 4.5 liters in gallon to be consistently appearing. So I followed that

But achiever said 3.78 Liters per gallon!!


Ummmmm what is it? 3.78 or 4 or 4.5???

The imperial gallon (used in the UK) is 4.5 L and if you had googled a little more you would have found the US dry gallon at 4.4 and the good old milk gallon at 3.78.

Thanks for confirming everyone.

Yeah I do drink milk. Love it! just been too careless to notice it. Actually I am from india---and we use a very different unit system there in everyday life.I lived there for 17 years so I am sooooo used to that system that I often find it hard to remember and adapt to the everyday lingual of math units here. I am so used to kg--yes we bought milk there as Kg too. 🙂
