For the TMDSAS, we have a max of 5 letters we can have.

I have one from my physiology professor, my ochem professor, my hindi professor, and one from my manager at work while I was a Resident Assistant on campus for a dorm.
Since I have room for one more, should I request one from a physician? Or just submit my apps? I mean would it really do much more for a 3.5 gpa?

I honestly don't think the one from your Hindi professor will help you much, nor will the one from your RA manager since neither are clinical nor remotely science/healthcare related. I understand that you're allowed a max of 5 LoR's, but I think it is more beneficial to just have 3 or so really strong ones than to throw in a couple near pointless ones just because you can.

If at all possible, it is extremely important to get a LoR from a physician that you have worked with/shadowed/etc.

Forgive me for being blunt, but a 3.5 is below average for medical schools, so you should do anything you can to increase your chances of admittance, including making sure you have top-notch LoR's.

I don't mean to judge you on your GPA.. mine is a 3.4! But just to give an example, I have LoR's from a physician I shadowed, my Organic Chem instructor, and the unit director of the unit I worked in as a Patient Care Tech for over a year at a hospital.

Good luck! 🙂
