In Destroyer, it says that cardiac muscle has one nuclei.#98 -- "Cardiac muscle: single nucleus"

However, on qVault, test 10 #28 it says "Cardiac muscle cells can have either one, two, or multiple centrally located nuclei"

So what is the general consensus on this? One or multiple?

Thanks😀

I learned in my anatomy class that cardiac muscle cells are different from skeletal muscle because cardiac muscles are usually uninucliated and highly branched. Where skeletal muscles are usually polynucleated and relatively straight (un-branched).

Skeletal muscle: multi-nucleated, striated

Cardiac muscle: mono-nucleated, striated

Smooth muscle: mono-nucleated, non-striated
