How many people apply every year and how many get accepted?

I did search but the most recent information was from 2004, I was wondering if anyone had more current information...

Last I saw a little more than 40,000 people applied and about 17,000 were accepted. Do not know which year that is from but I got it from a thread in the pre-allo forum so try using the search function.

it's hard to know the exact number of people who get acceptances, since many get multiple offers to matriculate.

that data is aggragated for 07-09. Look at the bottom for totals. Poke around AAMC.org for any other data you might be interested in.
