so I talked with my pre-health advisor on how to schedule my pre-med classes and I should have the following done by Summer of 2015:

two semesters of biology
two semesters of general chemistry
two semester of physics
two semesters of math (some med schools require certain classes)
one semester of organic chemistry

that leaves me with one semester of organic chemistry/biochemistry

since most apps are reviewed even before I can finish Organic Chemistry II in the fall of 2015 and Biochem in spring 2016, is that too many pre-reqs in progress during the application process?

I think Cornell med school is the only school I know that needs all pre-reqs done by December, not spring.

That's fine. Most schools only require them by matriculation.

Are you taking the new MCAT? Won't that require other classes like psych?

already got psychology and sociology done thanks to my schools's major requirement and GE

so is two or three pre-reqs missing/in progress ok? have there been applicants where their decision was put on hold due to the adcom looking to see what I got in in ochem?

also planning to take MCAT without ochem 2, I know an ochem tutor very well who can help me learn the ochem 2 I need to know on the MCAT
