US DO who is currently doing a TY year and will be applying for neuro this upcoming cycle after applying for different specialty last year. Stats are step 1 of 226 and step 2 of 224. I don't have any research experience except for some in college. I was able to get 2 new letters during my TY year including one from a neurologist who I did an elective with. How many programs should I apply? Will 60 be enough? This would also include the 20 or so Physician Reserved spots so maybe 40 categorical.
