How many programs are you applying to, and what's your specialty of choice?
Just for fun...

I'll start.

18 so far, Family. (I think I applied to too many.)😳

34, urology....holla!

So far 10 for pathology, but I might apply to more if I don't get a fair number of interviews.

22 for Path, which is probably too many, but I can't help myself.

🙂 25 for ob...want to go back home to CA

27 for ob/gyn...single w/o kids so applying all over the US!

100+

EM. My grades are borderline and I'm an IMG. I'd take an EM spot anywhere in the US and even PR.

27 for Ob/Gyn... I'm couples matching.

17 so far, Pathology.
I guess I will add more if it seems necessary.

Boy are there a lot of Path peeps making an appearance. I hope I don't have to worry 😉

41 for surgery. Actually may add a couple more. (Poor step 1, improved step 2)

me: 13 Ob/Gyn
wife: 15 Family

27 Peds

Think i may have applied to too many, but couldn't cut the list down at all

it's just that we're a vocal group ... go us. 👍

last year there were only 320 us path applicants - i'll be curious to see what the number is this year. it's too early to tell, but maybe as the season progresses we'll see some comments from the residents over in the path forum about the quantity and/or quality of this year's path bunch.

eeek. I applied to 35 for medicine. I know! but i really want to live in california. 😳

48 OB/GYN... but i am an IMG... still have 50 or so left on my list that i will add if i don't get more interviews ( i have 2 so far)!🙄

thats exactly how many i'm doing! where are you applying too? good luck!:luck:

i'm applying mainly in the southeast, with a few in chicago thrown in for good measure. what about you?

did you have to take out a small loan to pay for that alone?! wow, that must have been a LOT of money.

  3. low step 1
  4. low step 2 ck
  5. failed step 2 cs
  6. IMG
  7. school with a little rep

  4. speak english
  5. research publication (also a minus not first name)

I love surgery. I want to be a surgeon, but with my record not looking to good. I am being realistic. I will be lucky if I can get 5 interviews. I know the scramble is in my future for either family or internal. Ohh so far 11 rejections 👍 I wake up everyday to see how many rejections I get and to get ready for work. GOD I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!:hardy:

😕 Aren't you AOA? Why so many?

Anyway, I applied to 20 in EM but will not go on more than 12 interviews (poor).
