I will only have one quarter of Ochem lab completed by graduation and I'll need to take two more quarters after graduation and before I apply to pharmacy school. Though, I want to take my last two Ochem labs at a community college (or at a CSU if pharmacy schools don't like CC credits) since it would be closer to my home. What is the equivalency of Ochem lab 2&3 with Ochem lab based semester system?

You'll probably have to retake the whole series. I assume it's like calculus as in a quarter system they teach A, B, and C while a semester teaches AB and BC so about 1.5 quarters per semester. Although, you should probably ask a counselor to make sure.

^ Same answer as above. Your 1 quarter will only have gone through most (but not all) of the first semester course. Schools also typically like to have the series completion at the same school, so you'd best try to take it at the same institution you took your first course or redo the whole series.

So a friend of mine is about to get accepted into pharmacy school with only completing one quarter of Ochem lab (completed the Ochem lecture series). How can this be when pharmacy school websites say 1 year of Ochem lab is required?

They are probably under the assumption that he will finish it before the Fall semester starts - every school accepts on a 'conditional' basis where you will have all pre-reqs finished before school, pass a background check successfully, etc. They can rescind the offer he does not meet the conditions required of him. That would be my guess.

It's definitely conditional and you are expected to complete all prerequisites prior to matriculation. I think this is part of the agreement you sign (electronically) when you agree to their terms and pay for your seat.
