How many rejections so far?

Complete early to mid-September. Hoping to hear interview results soon but might not get the final decision until spring. Recently sent several updates to receptive schools, maybe they'll prove helpful?
 
Officially 7 rejections now, but I also have 2 holds (which I assume will be rejections). 4 II's, silence from 18 schools...
 
I count mine at 1.5.

One school rejected me right after I submitted my initial application for it not meeting the criteria (I submitted prior to taking my MCAT), but then after my MCAT I received a letter my application would be reviewed. No one seemed to know why and my application is in theory in process but never got a secondary. It was a bottom of the list one anyways and I got accepted so I let it go. 🙂

Then I received a rejection from a new school that I would have had to take out private loans for, so was ok with that.

Remember this: ALL YOU NEED IS ONE!!!

how long have you been waiting for post interview decisions? I've been waiting since 9/26 for a UC school. starting to give up hope

It really depends on the school; some gave more specific times to expect a decision than others, but all have fallen within their projected timeframe so far. Check your school's thread and see if others are experiencing the same situation as you. Stay patient and I hope you get good news soon!
 
I have had 40% pre II rejections, 20% IIs (no rejects yet) and 40% Radio silence. Of the IIs 33% acceptance 33% waitlisted, 33% no news as yet.

How many schools did I apply to? 😉 Sorry was getting bored.

none, because 33+33+33 only equal 99, does not add up 😛

the # of schools applied has to be a multiple of 15, so 15 or 30. 45 seems excessive.

I haven't heard from any medical schools in like 3 months now. Still at 4 II, 6 rejections, 1 acceptance. Silence from 12. A lot of my schools don't reject until the end of the cycle but a few have been sending out rejections. Just wish they would make a decision on me, either way.
 
You should just buy a house in Cleveland and send a copy of the title document to Case. That'll be a hell of a LOI 😛

... then you probably wouldn't care for the other silences.

LOLOL I love this plan. Houses in Cleveland are ridiculously cheap too. Hmmmm. :laugh:

Or I could just like handcuff myself to the front door of the med school. Maybe then they'd get the message.
 
15 apps, 1pre/2post sec rejections, 14 secondaries, 3 IIs w/ 2 acc. No word other than complete from most after secondaries submitted, but accepted early and in where I am very happy going so I haven't cared about others.

I think I'm at 10 rejections? 4 II, and silence from... some number of schools. I'm too exhausted to keep track of this anymore.
 
Oh yay, a competition I can finally win! 22 rejections. Don't ask me how many schools I'm waiting to hear back from; I haven't even reached 50% rejected yet. That's a good sign, right? Right??

Damn, this feels a lot like undergrad again where we used to one up each other on how little we slept the previous night. 🙁

Bah lol. I applied to 35 but I could've applied to many more; I didn't think it was necessary. In hindsight, maybe I should've added more schools. Oh well -- at least my MCAT won't expire any time soon.

Exactly the same! 10 rejections, 4 IIs, a couple of pre interview holds (basically eventual rejections) and like 6-8 silences.

Haha, you got me! I'm at 19 rejections right now. And hey, that's over 50% of your schools who still might accept you!

Here's my score as of today. Assume it will be 12 rejections at a minimum given lateness of season, probably 1 or 2 of WL may come through.
24 schools applied, projecting 20 rejections at the of the cycle.

I don't get rejections from schools, I reject them. When they send me a rejection email, I email them back, "I was gonna reject your offer anyways, so actually I already rejected you and therefore you can't reject me."

If you are still interested in entering the medical profession, I recommend that you schedule a meeting with your pre-medical advisor and/or someone you trust to discuss methods you may employ to strengthen future applications to medical school. If you decide to reapply to the School of Medicine at MeharryMedical College, please note that you will need to submit a new application inclusive of any new course work, letters of recommendation, and MCAT scores.

29/32 Rejections as of today. 3 II (1 waiting to hear back from, 1 upcoming, 1 post-interview rejection).
 
Received #16 and 17 today. This just means I'm almost done!
