How many residency interviews to expect?

Hi Everyone,



Sorry to post, but I needed to ask since it's hard to gauge. Today is December 13, 2019 for future readers.

Can someone give a realistic expectation for an average number of invites that an average EM applicant should expect by month?


September: X number of interview invites on average

October: Y number of interview invites on average

November: Z number of interview invites on average

December: W number of interview invites on average

January...?



It's December, and I ask because I am worried that this is all the invites I will receive. I am strictly asking about EM.

I would like to get 10-12 interviews, but I feel that this may not be possible anymore.

I mean the interview offer season is at the end. There might be a few trickles at this point, but I wouldn’t expect more than 1-2. Nobody knows exact averages.
Kill the interviews you have and match EM.

I personally do not expect any more interviews at this point. My last invite was in the middle of November. I would plan on rolling with what you have. Anything from here on out is bonus time.

According to the PD Survey from 2018 for EM:

6% of interviews are extended prior to Oct 1st
60% of interviews are extended in Oct
21% of interviews are extended in Nov
8% of interviews are extended in Dec
4% of interviews are extended in Jan or later
